Question regarding voluntary termination

Good morning,

I am thinking about using the voluntary termination option on my PCP but I am a bit unsure how it works in real life. I have gone over the 50% so on paper I should qualify, but the finance paperwork is written in a vague way that I do not fully trust.

The car has a few light scratches and one slightly kerbed alloy. Do finance companies usually treat that as normal wear and tear, or do they tend to send a bill afterwards for small marks?

For anyone who has actually done a voluntary termination recently, how did things play out and were there any surprises?
