Do I need a template letter for voluntary termination?

Evening all,

I have seen a lot of conflicting information online about how formal a voluntary termination letter needs to be. Some people say you must follow a very specific wording and others say a simple plain English letter is fine.

Is there a tried and tested VT letter format people here use, or can I just quote the relevant section of the agreement and say I wish to exercise my right to voluntary termination?
